HAGGIS
Better than Linguica, more elusive than Morcilla, tastier than the generic Irish banger.....We just LOVE HAGGIS at THE HAVEN.
We serve ours with Kohlrabi, which is a more interesting Turnip.
Ok, so it's not quite the traditional dish Rabbie Burns waxed lyrical about we reckoned it was about time for a change anyway.
We add a little Drambuie to the butter and drizzle it over the Haggis. Delicious.

The Food
This is our New England famous Haggis. Chef Wax took some Sue Lawrence, a bit of Nick Nairn, then a bit of the Broon's cook book and mixed it all together with his La Morra flair, Ten Tables know how and put together the newest take on the most fabulous sausage in the world.
The Chieftain O' the Puddin Race is our signature dish.
And remember, if it's not Scottish.

The Haven Build-out!
Now keep in mind, these flicks are a couple weeks old, and by now we're looking even sharper. But we figured we'd share with you some of the hard work we've been putting in to building the place out and getting it shaped up for our opening. We're still aiming for our opening to coincide with the phenomonal/massive World Cup event ( think of the Stanley Cup meets "World" series, meets Olympics) and even if we don't hit that date, you can be sure we'll be watching the game with our doors open while yelling at the projector screen ( no HD in Scotland). You might even end up with a paintbrush in hand!
More on that soon!

The Secret's out.
Hidden Boston got wind of us! There we were in our little corner of the web pretending to open a Scottish bar for a while....but now the secret's out we may as well give it a go!
We are trying to open in time for the World Cup....time will tell.
Another thing....a lot of people have been asking if we are going to have Haggis.
The answer is YES.
We love it, you will ALL love it and a nation will rise again!

The Very First Post
So here we are at the beginning.
Things are crashing in and moving on. A chef has been hired, front of house staff scanned and trained, menus previewed after years of pondering, colors chosen, antlers bought. What else is there to do apart from get some inspections passed and bands booked?
Let's see if we can get this mother off the ground and up in the air.
We'll need your help!
Here's to us and noone's like us!
